Allergens in Our Products
Depending on the product, ChilliChump sauces and condiments may contain one or more of the following allergens:
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
- Soya
- Fish
- Mustard
Where any of these allergens are present in a product, they are listed in the ingredients and in the product listing on our shop. Always check the label on each individual product for full allergen information.
Allergens Not Present in Our Products
Our products do not contain the following allergens as ingredients: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, lupin, milk, molluscs, peanuts, sesame, or tree nuts.
Cross-Contamination
Our products are made in a small-scale production environment. While we take all reasonable precautions to prevent cross-contamination, our kitchen is not a dedicated allergen-free facility. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before purchasing so we can discuss your specific requirements.
Online Orders
If you order from our website or any other distance selling channel, allergen information is provided at two points:
- Before purchase – allergen information is available on this page and within individual product descriptions on our shop.
- At delivery – full ingredients lists with allergens highlighted in bold are printed on every product label.
The 14 Declarable Allergens
Under UK food law, the following 14 allergens must be declared when used as ingredients:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans (prawns, crab, lobster)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs (mussels, oysters, squid)
- Mustard
- Peanuts
- Sesame
- Soya
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at concentrations above 10ppm)
- Tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, brazils, pistachios, macadamia nuts)
